Anti-SHP-2 (Ab-542) Antibody

Supplied by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody targets SHP-2 (Ab-542) and is offered in a 50 µl format at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL. The reagent is unconjugated and was raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 540–544 (H-E-Y-T-N) of human SHP-2, then purified by affinity chromatography using the epitope-specific peptide. It is validated for Western blotting, immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry, with recommended dilutions of 1:500–1:1,000 for WB, 1:50–1:100 for IHC, and 1:100–1:200 for IF/ICC. The antibody detects endogenous levels of total SHP-2 protein across human, mouse, and rat samples, with a predicted molecular weight of around 72 kDa. The buffer formulation is phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. The product is shipped at 4 °C from St. Louis, MO; on arrival it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity.
