SHP-1 (Src homology 2 domain-containing protein tyrosine phosphatase 1) is an intracellular tyrosine phosphatase encoded by PTPN6 that negatively regulates signaling cascades in hematopoietic cells. The Antibodies.com Anti-SHP-1 (Ab-536) polyclonal antibody is a rabbit host reagent supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, validated for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF) workflows in human and mouse samples.

The polyclonal format allows recognition of multiple epitopes on the target, supporting applications such as B-cell receptor studies, cytokine signaling analysis, and immune cell phenotype characterization. Researchers apply this primary antibody to investigate JAK-STAT pathway regulation, since SHP-1 dephosphorylates JAK family kinases and associated STAT transcription factors. Altered SHP-1 expression has been linked to autoimmune disease, leukemia, and lymphoma, making this reagent valuable for studies in inflammation, hematopoiesis, and tumor biology.

For storage, refrigerate the vial for short-term use and freeze aliquots at -20°C for longer-term preservation. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to maintain antibody activity. Each lot is affinity-purified and tested for specificity against the immunogen peptide.
