SH3GL2 (SH3 Domain Containing GRB2 Like 2), also known as Endophilin A1, is a peripheral membrane protein that plays a central role in clathrin-mediated endocytosis and synaptic vesicle recycling at presynaptic terminals. This rabbit polyclonal reagent, supplied by Antibodies.com, is raised against SH3GL2 and validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows in academic and translational research settings.

The unconjugated antibody is supplied in a 100 µl volume and shows reactivity against human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting cross-species studies in neuroscience and oncology where SH3GL2 expression patterns are of interest. Endophilin family members, including SH3GL2, participate in membrane curvature generation and have been linked to synaptic vesicle trafficking, neurodegenerative disease mechanisms, and tumor suppressor pathways in certain solid tumor contexts. Loss of SH3GL2 expression has been reported in gliomas and other malignancies, making the protein a target of active investigation.

Each lot is produced in rabbit hosts as a polyclonal preparation, allowing recognition of multiple epitopes on the target protein for robust detection in tissue lysates and fixed specimens. The unconjugated format also gives researchers the flexibility to conjugate the antibody to a reporter of their choice, including HRP, biotin, or fluorophores, depending on the downstream application.
