Anti-SGCE Antibody

This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets epsilon-sarcoglycan (SGCE), a transmembrane glycoprotein that contributes to the dystrophin-associated glycoprotein complex in striated muscle and is also expressed in brain and other peripheral tissues. Raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated reagent at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, it is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows. With confirmed reactivity against human, mouse, and rat samples, the antibody supports research into myoclonus-dystonia syndrome (DYT11), a movement disorder linked to SGCE mutations, as well as broader studies of sarcoglycan complex assembly and membrane organization in skeletal muscle and the central nervous system. The 100 µl volume is sufficient for multiple experimental setups, and the glycerol-containing buffer is appropriate for storage at -20 °C with minimal freeze-thaw cycling.
