Produced in rabbit and supplied by Antibodies.com as 100 µl of unconjugated polyclonal antiserum, this primary antibody binds Secretogranin III (SgIII), a granin-family phosphoprotein that supports the biogenesis of dense-core secretory granules in neuroendocrine cells. The reagent is validated for Western blot (WB) and ELISA workflows against human and rat samples.

The polyclonal host response recognises multiple epitopes across SgIII, which is useful when probing lysates from neuroendocrine tissues such as pituitary, adrenal medulla, pancreatic islets, and certain neurons where granin expression is physiologically relevant. Studies of hormone packaging, neuropeptide processing, or vesicle trafficking can deploy the antibody in immunoblotting of whole-cell or tissue extracts, and in antigen-capture ELISA assays.

Because the reagent is unconjugated, it can be paired with a secondary antibody of the user's choice, such as HRP, biotin, or fluorophore conjugates, for chromogenic, chemiluminescent, or immunofluorescence detection. Aliquoting upon arrival and storage at -20 °C with limited freeze-thaw cycles is recommended to preserve binding activity across repeated experiments.
