Anti-SF3B3 Antibody

This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets SF3B3, the ~130 kDa core subunit of the splicing factor 3b complex that associates with the U2 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein during pre-mRNA splicing. The unconjugated antibody is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, and is intended for Western blot workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples.

SF3B3 (also annotated SAP130 / SF3b130) participates in spliceosome assembly, and altered expression has been reported in cancer cell lines and tumor tissue. The polyclonal format allows recognition of multiple epitopes on the target, which can be helpful when studying post-translational modifications or splice isoforms. Because the antibody is unconjugated, secondary reagents and detection chemistry remain flexible: HRP, fluorophore, or biotin conjugates can be paired with this primary reagent as the experimental design requires.

Recommended handling: store the vial at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw exposure, avoid prolonged room-temperature storage, and protect from light when a dye-based detection step is planned. Brief centrifugation before opening helps recover the full volume. The product is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS, so dilution into standard Western blot sample buffer is straightforward prior to loading.
