SETMAR, also known as Metnase, is a chimeric chromatin-associated protein that fuses a SET-domain histone methyltransferase with a mariner transposase-derived nuclease, contributing to DNA double-strand break repair via non-homologous end joining and supporting genomic stability in human cells. This polyclonal reagent, raised in rabbit and supplied by Antibodies.com, targets human SETMAR and is provided as a 100 µl unconjugated aliquot suitable for Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications. The polyclonal format enables recognition of multiple epitopes across the SETMAR protein, helping investigators detect endogenous expression in cell lysates and formalin-fixed tissue sections. Researchers studying the DNA damage response, V(D)J recombination, chromatin modification, or transposon biology rely on this reagent to characterize SETMAR distribution and regulation. Aliquot upon arrival and refrigerate to maintain antibody activity across repeated experiments. For research use only in laboratory settings.
