Anti-SETBP1 Antibody

Raised in Rabbit and supplied by Antibodies.com, this polyclonal unconjugated antibody recognizes SETBP1 (SET binding protein 1), a transcriptional regulator mutated in Schinzel-Giedion syndrome and recurrently altered in acute myeloid leukemia and related myeloid neoplasms. The reagent is provided at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide and 50% Glycerol, in a 100 µl vial sized for routine western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence panels.

Validated for Human and Mouse samples, the antibody supports immunoblotting of endogenous SETBP1 in leukemia cell lines, IHC localization in fixed tissue sections, and IF imaging of nuclear staining patterns. The 50% glycerol cryoprotectant buffer permits storage at -20 °C and protects activity through repeated freeze-thaw cycles for ongoing studies.

For IHC on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections, antigen retrieval in 10 mM citrate buffer at pH 6.0 followed by overnight primary incubation at 4 °C typically produces strong nuclear signal in cells expressing SETBP1. Recommended for chromatin and transcriptional regulation research, mutational effect studies on SETBP1 protein stability, and expression profiling in patient-derived myeloid samples.
