PON1 is a calcium-dependent hydrolase synthesized in the liver and carried on circulating high-density lipoproteins, where it contributes to antioxidant defense, lipid metabolism, and the detoxification of organophosphate substrates. The Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal anti-Serum paraoxonase / arylesterase 1 antibody is raised against the human PON1 protein and supplied as an unconjugated, 100 µg aliquot validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human samples. Polyclonal reagents recognize multiple epitopes across the target polypeptide, improving signal recovery in tissue sections and on immunoblots where PON1 may be partially denatured, processed, or present at low abundance. This primary antibody supports cardiovascular and metabolic disease research, oxidative stress investigations, and toxicology studies that probe altered PON1 expression or arylesterase activity. It can be paired with standard anti-rabbit HRP or fluorescence secondary detection systems, is supplied in a single-use vial, and is intended for research use only.
