SERPINB9, also referred to as PI-9 or CAP3, is a cytoplasmic serine protease inhibitor that neutralizes granzyme B released by cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer cells, thereby shielding expressing cells from apoptosis. Aberrant upregulation has been documented in several solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, where it can dampen effector-cell killing and contribute to immune evasion. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against the human SERPINB9 target and validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows.

The antibody is supplied as a 50 µL aliquot in an unconjugated format, allowing flexible pairing with HRP, fluorophore, or biotin reporter labels of the researcher's choice. Because SERPINB9 expression is commonly probed in lymphocyte lines, dendritic cells, and tumor biopsy material, the reagent is suited to studies of cytotoxic granule biology, transplant tolerance, viral immune escape pathways (including CMV-encoded homologs that mimic SERPINB9 function), and screens for candidate immunotherapy targets. Researchers investigating granule-mediated cytotoxicity can pair the antibody with substrate western blots or fixed-cell imaging to monitor baseline expression and induction by cytokines such as IL-2 or IFN-γ.

Storage recommendations follow standard antibody handling: refrigerate short term and aliquot before freezing at -20 °C or below for long-term use, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve activity.
