SERPINB3, also referred to as SCCA1 (Squamous Cell Carcinoma Antigen 1), is a serine/cysteine protease inhibitor studied in squamous cell carcinoma biology, hepatocellular carcinoma, and inflammatory liver disease. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as 100 µl in a single vial and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows on human samples.

The polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes across the SERPINB3 protein, which can be advantageous when probing denatured lysates or formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections. Researchers investigating cervical, lung, esophageal, or head and neck squamous carcinomas commonly use this reagent to examine SCCA1 expression alongside clinical grading. SERPINB3 is also a marker of interest in hepatitis and cirrhosis studies, where circulating SCCA1 levels have been correlated with inflammatory burden.

The rabbit host and unconjugated format allow the end user to choose their own secondary antibody and detection chemistry, supporting chromogenic DAB IHC or standard HRP/ECL Western blot protocols. Storage at -20 °C in working aliquots is recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the antibody vial, and the reagent is intended for research use only.
