Raised in rabbit against the human SERPINA6 protein (corticosteroid-binding globulin, also known as transcortin), this polyclonal antibody is supplied by Antibodies.com as a 100 µL aliquot at 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. SERPINA6 is an approximately 56 kDa glycoprotein synthesized primarily in the liver that binds and transports cortisol and other glucocorticoids through the circulation, regulating the bioavailability of free steroid hormones involved in the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal stress axis, glucose metabolism, and inflammatory signaling.
