Anti-SEPT7 Antibody

Raised in rabbit against SEPT7 (Septin 7), this polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com recognizes the terminal subunit of hexameric septin filaments that polymerize at the cytokinetic midbody, at dendritic spine bases, and along the primary cilium. The 200 µl unconjugated aliquot is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows and shows reactivity with human, mouse, and rat samples, enabling cross-species comparison of septin complex composition in dividing fibroblasts, post-mitotic neurons, and immune cells. The polyclonal format binds multiple epitopes on the SEPT7 GTPase, supporting detection of full-length protein and isoforms across varied sample preparations, including frozen tissue sections and paraformaldehyde-fixed cell monolayers. In published work, SEPT7 has been mapped at postsynaptic density fractions of forebrain, implicated in store-operated Ca²⁺ entry through Orai channels in human neural progenitors, and shown to be essential for cytokinesis in fibroblasts while dispensable in the hematopoietic lineage.
