Anti-SEPT6 Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the human septin 6 (SEPT6) protein, this polyclonal primary antibody is provided unconjugated as a 100 µl liquid aliquot suitable for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. SEPT6 belongs to the septin family of filament-forming GTPases, a group that assembles into non-polar heteromeric complexes with partners such as SEPT2 and SEPT7 and contributes to cytokinesis, cytoskeletal organization, cell polarity, and membrane compartmentalization. Published studies have implicated SEPT6 in HER2-driven breast cancer proliferation, in mixed lineage leukemia gene rearrangements, in synaptic vesicle dynamics at the presynaptic terminal, and in primary cilia assembly and function, making SEPT6 a frequent target for studies across oncology, neuroscience, and cell biology. The reagent is supplied at a working concentration appropriate for standard blotting membranes and formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections, and should be stored frozen in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles. For Western blot, expect a band near the predicted molecular weight of approximately 49 kDa, and for IHC pair with an HRP- or fluorescence-labeled secondary antibody according to your chosen detection chemistry.
