Raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, this polyclonal primary antibody from Antibodies.com detects Seprase, a 170 kDa type II transmembrane serine protease (also known as Fibroblast Activation Protein alpha, or FAP) that participates in extracellular matrix remodeling and stromal fibroblast biology. The reagent has been validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA workflows and shows reactivity with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, making it useful for studies of the tumor microenvironment, cancer-associated fibroblasts, wound healing, and fibrotic disease models. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes on the target, supporting detection of full-length Seprase as well as processed forms. Researchers commonly localize Seprase expression in fixed tissue sections by IHC, resolve the protein band by Western blot, or quantify antigen levels in ELISA-based assays. Aliquoting upon arrival limits freeze-thaw exposure, and refrigerated storage preserves antibody activity across multi-week projects.
