This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets human SELPLG (Selectin P Ligand, also known as PSGL-1), a heavily glycosylated type I transmembrane sialoglycoprotein expressed on leukocytes and endothelial cells. The reagent is supplied as 50 µl of unconjugated IgG validated for Western Blot detection of endogenous SELPLG in human samples. SELPLG functions as the principal ligand for P-, E-, and L-selectins, mediating the initial tethering and rolling of leukocytes on vascular endothelium during inflammation, immune surveillance, and hematopoietic cell homing. The polyclonal format allows recognition of multiple epitopes on the SELPLG extracellular domain, which is useful when detecting the extensively glycosylated mature protein on Western Blot.
