SELPLG (P-selectin glycoprotein ligand-1, also called PSGL-1 or CD162) is a sialylated, fucosylated mucin-like glycoprotein displayed on leukocytes. It engages P-, E-, and L-selectins to drive the tethering and rolling steps of the adhesion cascade that precede extravasation at sites of inflammation.

This Antibodies.com reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against human SELPLG and validated for western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), and immunofluorescence (IF). The unconjugated format leaves the choice of reporter open: HRP, biotin, Alexa Fluor, or alkaline phosphatase secondaries can be paired with it without stripping a pre-existing label.

Practical specifications:

  • Host: rabbit; clonality: polyclonal (multi-epitope recognition, helpful for a target whose selectin-binding activity depends on post-translational modifications such as tyrosine sulfation)
  • Reactivity: human
  • Applications: WB, IHC, IF
  • Conjugate: unconjugated
  • Volume: 100 µl per vial
  • Storage: stored frozen in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles

Investigators working on neutrophil recruitment, sickle cell vaso-occlusion, chronic inflammatory disease, or leukocyte involvement in solid tumours use this reagent to map SELPLG expression on peripheral blood leukocytes, endothelial co-cultures, and inflamed tissue sections.
