Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this primary polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit and directed against SELL (L-selectin / CD62L), a widely used memory T cell, monocyte and neutrophil marker belonging to the CD62 antigen-like family. The antibody is supplied as an unconjugated antiserum at 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µl volume, formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺) at pH 7.4 with 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and is intended for research use only. It was generated against a recombinant human SELL immunogen and purified by affinity chromatography on the immunogen, allowing it to detect endogenous levels of total SELL protein in Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows. Validated reactivity covers human, mouse and rat samples, making it suitable for cross-species studies of leukocyte adhesion, lymphocyte homing and inflammatory signaling. The product is shipped at 4 °C; upon receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeated freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve antibody integrity. Synonyms recognised by this reagent include L-selectin, LAM-1, LECAM1, LYAM1, LNHR, Leukocyte adhesion molecule 1, Leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion molecule 1 and Leukocyte surface antigen Leu-8. As a polyclonal antibody host response, the reagent offers broader epitope coverage than monoclonal alternatives, which is particularly helpful when probing native SELL conformations or working with samples in which the target may be partially degraded. For signal detection, the unconjugated format allows researchers to pair the antibody with their preferred secondary reagents (HRP, biotin, fluorophore-conjugated, or alkaline phosphatase systems) according to the demands of WB membrane imaging or chromogenic/fluorescent IHC protocols. Storage and handling recommendations are consistent with standard Antibodies.com quality specifications: keep refrigerated short term, freeze aliquots for long-term use, and protect from light when working with fluorescent secondaries. Always centrifuge briefly before opening to recover the full volume, and dilute only in carrier-containing buffers for applications such as IHC to minimise non-specific binding.
