Anti-SELL Antibody

The Antibodies.com Anti-SELL polyclonal reagent targets L-selectin (CD62L), a type-I transmembrane C-type lectin expressed on circulating leukocytes, including lymphocytes, neutrophils, and monocytes. Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified from polyclonal sera, the unconjugated antibody recognizes the human SELL protein and cross-reacts with the mouse and rat orthologs, supporting comparative work across common laboratory species. The reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows and is supplied as a 100 µl liquid volume in a single vial, convenient for repeated staining and blotting experiments. CD62L/SELL mediates the rolling of leukocytes along activated vascular endothelium and the homing of naive lymphocytes to peripheral lymph nodes by engaging sulfated glycoprotein ligands such as GlyCAM-1, CD34, and MAdCAM-1 presented on high endothelial venulices, making it a frequently cited marker of naive and central memory T cells, as well as a readout for granulocyte activation in inflammation and vascular biology research. For handling, the antibody should be refrigerated upon arrival and, if not used within a few weeks, aliquoted and stored frozen to limit freeze-thaw damage to the immunoglobulin preparation.
