The Anti-Sds22 Antibody from Antibodies.com is a polyclonal reagent raised in rabbit and supplied as a 100 µl liquid formulation. Sds22 is a well-characterised regulatory subunit of type 1 protein phosphatase (PP1) that contributes to mitotic progression and chromosome segregation in Schizosaccharomyces pombe. This reagent enables specific detection of the endogenous Sds22 protein by western blot, immunoprecipitation and immunofluorescence, supporting studies of cell cycle checkpoints, kinetochore function and phosphatase regulation. Researchers commonly use it to investigate PP1–Sds22 complex assembly, dissect mitotic exit pathways, and probe phosphorylation-dependent signalling events in fission yeast. The unconjugated IgG format offers flexibility for custom labelling and downstream assay workflows, and aliquoting on first use is recommended to preserve antibody activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
