SDHB is the iron–sulfur subunit of mitochondrial succinate dehydrogenase, also called complex II. This enzyme connects the tricarboxylic acid cycle with electron transfer to ubiquinone in the mitochondrial respiratory chain. The antibody is useful for examining SDHB abundance in human cell or tissue lysates and for studies of complex-II expression, mitochondrial energy metabolism, respiratory-chain subunit composition, and biological consequences of SDH loss, including relevant cancer models.
