Succinate dehydrogenase complex flavoprotein subunit A (SDHA) forms the catalytic core of mitochondrial respiratory Complex II, coupling succinate oxidation in the TCA cycle to electron transfer in the electron transport chain. The Antibodies.com Anti-SDHA Antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against this conserved subunit, supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum for western blot and ELISA workflows. Reactive with human, mouse, and rat samples, the reagent is widely used as a loading control for normalizing mitochondrial protein content, alongside studies of complex II assembly, succinate dehydrogenase enzymatic activity, and mitochondrial biogenesis in research use only applications. Standard denaturing lysis conditions with reducing sample buffer are appropriate for western blot detection of the full-length subunit in whole-cell or enriched mitochondrial lysates.
