The SDHA protein (Succinate Dehydrogenase Complex Flavoprotein Subunit A) is the catalytic core of mitochondrial respiratory chain Complex II, coupling succinate oxidation in the Krebs cycle with reduction of ubiquinone. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com recognizes SDHA in human, mouse, and rat samples and has been validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. The reagent is supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, and should be stored at -20°C, with aliquoting recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the stock antibody.

As an unconjugated polyclonal reagent, it is appropriate for studies of mitochondrial respiratory chain integrity, metabolic enzyme profiling in cell culture and tissue sections, and investigations of SDHA-deficient tumors such as paraganglioma, pheochromocytoma, and gastrointestinal stromal tumor models where SDHx pathway mutations are implicated. Cross-species reactivity against human, mouse, and rat antigens supports comparative work between rodent disease models and clinical specimens, while the polyclonal format offers broader epitope coverage useful when post-translational modifications or fixation-induced masking are a concern in IHC.
