The SDCCAG8 protein (serologically defined colon cancer antigen 8) localizes to centrosomes and the base of primary cilia, where it contributes to centriole satellite organization and microtubule-dependent trafficking. Loss-of-function mutations in the SDCCAG8 gene underlie autosomal recessive Bardet-Biedl syndrome and senior-Løken syndrome, producing retinal degeneration, cystic kidney disease, and obesity. This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against SDCCAG8 and supplied as 100 µl of an unconjugated, 1 mg/ml stock in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.3. It detects the human, mouse, and rat target on Western blots, supporting studies of ciliopathy mechanisms, centrosome biology, and the signaling pathways that connect primary cilia to developmental patterning.
