Anti-SCN8A Antibody

This affinity-purified polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit against the voltage-gated sodium channel protein type VIII subunit alpha (SCN8A, Nav1.6), a multi-pass transmembrane pore-forming subunit responsible for sodium ion permeability across excitable membranes. The antibody is supplied as50 µl of an unconjugated, liquid preparation at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, and is validated for Western blot (WB) detection of endogenous SCN8A in human, mouse and rat samples. As a polyclonal reagent of IgG isotype, it is intended for research use in studies of neuronal excitability, action potential propagation and disorders linked to SCN8A dysfunction.
