Secretogranin III (SCG3) is a granin-family glycoprotein expressed in neuroendocrine cells, where it contributes to the biogenesis of dense-core secretory granules and the sorting of hormones and neuropeptides for regulated release. Aberrant SCG3 expression has been described in studies of neuroendocrine-derived tumors, including prostate and small-cell lung cancers, and it has been explored as a circulating biomarker candidate in related research.
The Antibodies.com polyclonal anti-SCG3 reagent is raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated in a 100 µL vial, validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human and mouse specimens. For handling, aliquotting on first use and storage at -20°C in single-use portions limits freeze-thaw cycles and preserves binding activity; for short-term use, the vial may be kept refrigerated at 4°C. Researchers applying this antibody to fixed tissue sections or cell culture lysates should titrate the primary and pair it with an appropriate secondary detection system suited to their workflow.
