SCARB2 (Scavenger Receptor Class B Member 2), also known as LIMP-2, is a lysosomal integral membrane glycoprotein that mediates cholesterol trafficking out of late endosomes and lysosomes, and acts as the attachment receptor that permits uncoating of enterovirus 71 and related picornaviruses during cell entry. Polyclonal antibodies.com reagents raised against this target are widely used to map LIMP-2 distribution in neural, hepatic, and renal tissue where the protein is most abundant.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, a glycerol-rich formulation chosen so the vial can be stored at -20°C between uses with limited loss of titer across standard freeze-thaw cycles; aliquoting on first thaw is recommended. Validated applications are Western blot and immunohistochemistry, and the antibody has been confirmed to react with human, mouse, and rat samples. The sodium azide content makes the reagent inappropriate for direct addition to live-cell staining without prior dialysis or buffer exchange.
