Antibodies.com offers a rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody raised against SCARB2 (also known as LIMP-2 or LGP85), a type III transmembrane glycoprotein that resides in the lysosomal membrane and serves as the principal receptor for Enterovirus 71 entry. This unconjugated reagent is supplied as a 100 µl aliquot and has been validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples.

The target, Scavenger Receptor Class B Member 2, mediates trafficking of glucocerebrosidase (GBA) to lysosomes, and loss-of-function mutations in the gene are linked to action myoclonus–renal failure syndrome (AMRF) and certain progressive myoclonic epilepsies. Researchers studying lysosomal storage biology, viral entry mechanisms, or related neurological disorders commonly use the antibody to probe endogenous SCARB2 expression across tissue sections and whole-cell lysates.

As a polyclonal reagent, the antibody recognizes multiple epitopes on SCARB2, supporting reliable detection in heterologous expression systems and primary samples. The IgG isotype and unconjugated format allow flexible pairing with secondary reagents in chromogenic, fluorescent, or chemiluminescent detection schemes. Store refrigerated and protect from light to preserve activity through multiple freeze-thaw cycles when aliquoted.
