Anti-SCARB1 Antibody

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent is raised against recombinant full-length human SCARB1 (also known as SR-BI), the scavenger receptor class B member 1 that mediates selective uptake of cholesterol and cholesterol esters from HDL. The antiserum is affinity-purified by epitope-specific immunogen chromatography to a purity of greater than 95% (by SDS-PAGE) and is supplied at 1 mg/mL in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. Each vial contains 50 µL of unconjugated antibody, sufficient for routine Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows in human, mouse and rat samples, where it detects endogenous levels of total SCARB1 protein. Host species is rabbit, clonality is polyclonal, the conjugate is unconjugated, and the buffer composition allows short-term storage at 2–8 °C with longer-term aliquoting recommended at –20 °C to preserve activity.
