SCAF8 is an arginine-serine dipeptide repeat-containing RNA-binding protein implicated in pre-mRNA splicing regulation and transcriptional control, and it has been studied alongside other SR-like factors that couple RNA polymerase II C-terminal domain phosphorylation to splice site selection.
