This polyclonal rabbit antibody targets SAT2, a spermidine/spermine N1-acetyltransferase enzyme that catalyzes the N-acetylation of polyamines and plays a central role in polyamine catabolism and cellular homeostasis. Produced by Antibodies.com as a primary antibody reagent, it is raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. The 100 µl vial format is sufficient for multiple immunolabeling experiments on human and mouse sample preparations.

Validated applications include Western blot for detection of SAT2 protein levels across cell and tissue lysates, immunohistochemistry on fixed sections to map enzyme distribution, and immunofluorescence for subcellular localization studies relevant to polyamine pathway research. Investigators studying cancer cell proliferation, oxidative stress responses, and metabolic regulation use this reagent to follow changes in SAT2 expression across disease models.

Storage recommendation: keep the vial at -20 °C for long-term stability, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles by aliquoting on first use. Because the polyclonal reagent recognizes multiple epitopes on SAT2, it is well suited to probing denatured targets on membranes as well as native structures in tissue sections, giving researchers flexibility when designing in vitro experiments.
