Rabbit polyclonal antisera raised against human SAE1 are validated for immunoblotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows in research laboratories. SAE1 (also called AOS1 or UBLE1A) is the catalytic subunit of the heterodimeric SUMO-activating E1 enzyme that, together with UBA2/SAE2, charges SUMO-1, SUMO-2, and SUMO-3 in an ATP-dependent manner before transfer to the E2 conjugating enzyme UBC9.
The unconjugated antibody preparation is supplied by Antibodies.com in a 100 µl vial and detects endogenous SAE1 in cell lysates, formalin-fixed tissue sections, and cultured mammalian cells. SAE1 shows nuclear and cytoplasmic distribution in many human cell types and participates in stress response, transcriptional regulation, and genome maintenance pathways. Researchers use this reagent to monitor SUMOylation machinery abundance, probe E1 complex assembly, and evaluate changes in SAE1 expression across disease models.
