Anti-SAA1 Antibody

This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets serum amyloid A1 (SAA1), a conserved acute-phase apolipoprotein synthesized by hepatocytes in response to inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1, IL-6, and TNF-α. SAA1 associates with high-density lipoprotein during the acute phase response and serves as a sensitive biomarker for inflammation, infection, trauma, and neoplastic disease. The unconjugated IgG antibody is raised in rabbit and validated for Western blot detection of the human protein, supplied as 200 µl of liquid.

SAA1 is the precursor of amyloid A protein deposited in reactive amyloidosis, making this reagent relevant to research on chronic inflammatory conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, and familial Mediterranean fever, as well as cardiovascular and sepsis investigations. For storage, aliquot upon receipt and store frozen at -20 °C; limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antibody activity across multiple experiments.
