Anti-S100A12 Antibody

The Anti-S100A12 polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and recognizes human S100A12, a calcium-binding protein of the S100 family also known as calgranulin C and EN-RAGE. The reagent is supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence applications.

S100A12 is expressed predominantly in neutrophils and is released at sites of inflammation, where it acts as an endogenous danger signal through the receptor for advanced glycation end-products (RAGE). Researchers use this antibody to detect S100A12 in cell lysates, to localize the protein in tissue sections, and to characterize neutrophil-rich infiltrates in models of rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, Kawasaki disease, and other inflammatory conditions. Each vial contains 100 µL of antibody, and the polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes on S100A12.
