This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets RUVBL2, also called Reptin, a highly conserved AAA+ family ATPase that functions as a critical scaffold within chromatin-remodeling and histone-modifying complexes, including the INO80 complex and the TIP60/NuA4 acetyltransferase complex. The antibody is supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated antiserum validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows.

In western blot, the reagent detects the endogenous protein at the expected ~51 kDa band in whole-cell lysates prepared from human, mouse, and rat samples. For IHC, the antibody is applied to formaldehyde-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections, supporting localization studies of RUVBL2 expression in normal and tumor specimens. The unconjugated format gives researchers flexibility to pair the antibody with their preferred fluorophore, biotin, or HRP label, enabling both indirect IF imaging and chromogenic detection strategies on demand.

RUVBL2 participates in transcriptional regulation, ribonucleoprotein assembly (including box C/D snoRNP biogenesis through the R2TP complex), and the cellular DNA damage response, making this reagent a useful tool for chromatin biology, signal-dependent gene expression studies, and oncology research. To preserve activity across repeated experiments, aliquot the antiserum upon arrival and avoid excessive freeze-thaw cycles.
