Raised in rabbit against the transcriptional co-repressor encoded by the RUNX1T1 gene at chromosome 8q22, this polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com detects the 67 kDa endogenous protein in human, mouse, and rat samples by Western blot. The unconjugated antibody is supplied as a 200 µl liquid aliquot in PBS with glycerol, and is validated on denaturing SDS-PAGE lysates where a band at approximately 67 kDa is observed.

RUNX1T1 (also known as MTG8 or ETO) normally partners with RUNX1 to modulate hematopoietic gene expression, but in core-binding factor acute myeloid leukemia the t(8;21) translocation fuses RUNX1 to RUNX1T1 to generate the AML1-ETO oncoprotein, which aberrantly recruits NCoR/Sin3/HDAC complexes and blocks myeloid differentiation. The polyclonal composition provides broader epitope coverage than monoclonal alternatives, supporting reliable detection of the wild-type protein in leukemogenesis and hematopoiesis research.

For continuous use, the vial should be stored at -20 °C and aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles; shipping is on wet ice to preserve antibody activity. Researchers probing transcription factor biology, the AML1-ETO fusion oncoprotein, or normal hematopoietic co-repressor function will find this reagent useful for whole-cell and nuclear extract workflows.
