This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent was raised against the D198 epitope region of RUNX-2 and is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. The 100 µl vial provides sufficient material for multiple Western blot or immunohistochemistry experiments. From Antibodies.com, this Primary Antibody reagent is validated for WB and IHC applications, with reactivity confirmed against human, mouse, and rat samples.

RUNX-2, also known as CBFA1 or AML3, is the master transcriptional regulator of osteoblast differentiation and skeletal development. It drives chondrocyte maturation, dental tissue formation, and both intramembranous and endochondral ossification. Loss-of-function mutations in RUNX2 cause cleidocranial dysplasia, a skeletal disorder marked by absent or hypoplastic clavicles, delayed closure of the cranial sutures, and dental abnormalities. Dysregulated RUNX-2 expression has also been documented in osteosarcoma and in cancer models of bone metastasis, making this transcription factor a frequent subject in skeletal biology, regenerative medicine, and oncology research workflows.

Refrigerate the vial upon arrival and protect from light. For extended storage, aliquot the antibody solution and freeze to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the reagent.
