RTN4 (Reticulon 4), best known in neuroscience as the myelin-associated neurite outgrowth inhibitor Nogo-A, is a transmembrane endoplasmic reticulum protein that regulates axonal plasticity, apoptosis, and vascular remodeling. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against epitopes conserved across the major RTN4 isoforms and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples. Supplied as a 200 µl liquid aliquot, the antibody supports studies of spinal cord injury, neurodegenerative disease models, and endothelial biology where isoform-specific Nogo signaling is under investigation. Because RTN4 is expressed in both CNS and peripheral tissues, including liver and vasculature, the reagent can be used to compare expression patterns between injured and uninjured samples by WB band pattern and IHC localization, making it useful for laboratories profiling reticulon family involvement in neuroregeneration, gliosis, and post-injury angiogenic remodeling.
