Rhotekin (RTKN) is a downstream effector of the Rho family of small GTPases, binding preferentially to the active, GTP-loaded forms of RhoA, RhoB, and RhoC. By coupling these GTPases to downstream signaling, RTKN participates in actin cytoskeleton remodeling, focal adhesion turnover, and cell migration, which is why it appears in studies of cancer cell invasion, leukocyte transmigration, and vascular remodeling. Antibodies.com offers this Anti-RTKN Antibody as an unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against the human Rhotekin protein, supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a 100 µl aliquot. The antibody is validated for western blot detection of endogenous RTKN in human cell lysates, for immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections, and for immunofluorescence localization of Rhotekin in cultured cells. Researchers commonly use it to probe RhoA pathway activation status, to map Rhotekin distribution in tumor biopsies, and to confirm CRISPR or RNAi knockdowns of RTKN expression. For best stability, store the vial at -20 °C, avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles by aliquoting on first use, and protect from light during handling. This reagent is intended for research use only and is not approved for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
