Anti-RRBP1 Antibody

This primary antibody from Antibodies.com targets RRBP1 (Ribosome-Binding Protein 1), a rough endoplasmic reticulum membrane protein of approximately 180 kDa, also referenced in the literature as p180. RRBP1 anchors ribosomes to the ER membrane through a lysine-rich ribosome-binding domain and supports the translocation and secretion of secretory and membrane-bound proteins, with documented roles in collagen biosynthesis in fibroblasts. Aberrant RRBP1 expression has been reported in breast carcinoma and other malignancies, and in fibrotic tissues characterized by excessive collagen deposition.

The reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody supplied in an unconjugated format at 100 µl per vial. It is validated for Western Blot (WB), where it detects the characteristic ~180 kDa band in human cell lysates, and for Immunohistochemistry (IHC) on formalin-fixed tissue sections. The antibody is reactive against human RRBP1 and is intended for research use only.
