Anti-RRAS Antibody

Rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against the related RAS viral (r-ras) oncogene homolog, R-Ras, supplied as a 50 µl vial for research use only studies of this small GTPase. The reagent from Antibodies.com detects endogenous levels of the 23 kDa Ras-related protein R-Ras (UniProt P10301) in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunoprecipitation workflows in vascular biology, cancer invasion, and signal transduction labs.

The antibody is generated using a synthetic peptide immunogen corresponding to residues near the N-terminal of human R-Ras and is purified by antigen affinity chromatography. The unconjugated IgG is formulated in PBS with 0.05% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. It is shipped on ice packs at 4°C; on arrival, aliquot and store at -20°C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity.

R-Ras belongs to the Ras superfamily and contributes to integrin activation, cell adhesion, migration, angiogenesis, and neuronal axon guidance. Constitutive activation through mutations at sites analogous to classical H-Ras oncogenic positions has been linked to invasive cancers, and Rras-deficient mice display defective vascular maturation with enhanced tumor angiogenesis, making this reagent useful for groups investigating cytoskeletal remodeling, FAK/p130Cas signaling downstream of integrins, and PI3K-dependent survival pathways.
