Anti-RPS6 (phospho S240 + S244) Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody recognises ribosomal protein S6 (RPS6) when phosphorylated at serine residues 240 and 244. The unconjugated reagent is supplied as a liquid in Phosphate Buffered Saline (pH 7.3) containing 50% glycerol and 0.02% sodium azide, and has been affinity purified. The target protein has a reported molecular weight of 36 kDa. The antibody was generated using a synthetic phosphorylated peptide around S240 and S244 of human RPS6 (NP_001001.2), with the immunogen sequence STSKS.

Validated for Western blot (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunoprecipitation (IP), the antibody reacts with human, mouse and rat samples. Recommended starting dilutions are 1:500-1:2,000 for WB, 1:50-1:200 for IHC, and 1:50-1:100 for IP. For IHC on paraffin-embedded tissue, high-pressure antigen retrieval with 10 mM citrate buffer pH 6.0 is recommended prior to staining.

Western blot validation has been performed on cell lysates used at 25 µg per lane, with 3% BSA as blocking buffer and an ECL Basic Kit for detection. The product is shipped at 4°C; upon delivery it should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided.
