Ribophorin 1 (RPN1) is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein anchored in the rough endoplasmic reticulum, where it serves as a ribosome-binding subunit of the oligosaccharyltransferase complex and assists N-linked glycosylation of nascent polypeptides. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets RPN1 and is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide and 50% glycerol, shipped as a 100 µl aliquot.

The unconjugated reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry applications and reacts with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, making it useful for comparing RPN1 expression across mammalian model systems and human tissues. Because RPN1 levels respond to ER stress and the protein contributes to glycoprotein folding and quality control, the antibody supports studies of secretory pathway load, unfolded protein response signaling, and disease contexts involving dysregulated glycosylation.

Storage at -20°C in working aliquots preserves activity across multiple freeze-thaw cycles, and the polyclonal format provides recognition of multiple epitopes on the RPN1 protein for greater tolerance of minor antigen variations between species.
