The polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2. Each 100 µl vial supports Western blot (WB) detection of ribosomal protein L3-like (RPL3L) in lysates from human, mouse, and rat origin.

RPL3L is a paralog of the housekeeping ribosomal protein RPL3 and a structural component of the 60S large ribosomal subunit. Its expression is markedly enriched in skeletal muscle and cardiac tissue, where it contributes to tissue-specific translation of contractile and structural transcripts during myogenesis and cardiomyocyte maturation. Loss-of-function variants in RPL3L have been linked to familial hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in genetic studies, making the protein an informative marker in striated-muscle ribosome biology, differentiation systems, and cardiac disease models.

Because the antibody is unconjugated, it pairs readily with HRP- or fluorophore-coupled secondary reagents in standard WB workflows. Refrigerate the vial upon arrival; for extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Research use only.
