Produced by Antibodies.com as a rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent, this unconjugated antibody recognizes RPL22 (Ribosomal Protein L22), a structural component of the 60S large ribosomal subunit. The 100 µL vial format is validated for Western blot applications in human and mouse sample lysates.
RPL22 has attracted research interest beyond its canonical role in cytoplasmic translation. The protein participates in 60S subunit biogenesis and has been studied as a putative tumor suppressor in T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Polyclonal reagents raised against RPL22 are useful tools for examining ribosomal stress responses and the contribution of individual ribosomal proteins to oncogenic signaling pathways.
For storage, aliquot the antibody and store at -20°C to limit freeze-thaw cycles, conditions under which the reagent remains stable for routine experimental use over several months. In Western blot, the antibody can be paired with HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit secondary antibodies and chemiluminescent detection to visualize endogenous RPL22 in cultured cell lines and tissue homogenates.
