This rabbit polyclonal primary antibody targets RPL11, a 60S ribosomal subunit component that extends well beyond its structural role in translation. RPL11 functions as a ribosomal stress sensor: when nucleolar function is disturbed by chemotherapeutics, oncogene activation, or nutrient deprivation, free RPL11 binds MDM2 and blocks its E3 ubiquitin ligase activity, stabilizing p53 and triggering cell cycle arrest.

Validated by Antibodies.com for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows, this unconjugated reagent recognizes endogenous RPL11 in human, mouse, and rat samples. It is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged as a 100 µl vial for repeated staining or blotting experiments. The glycerol-containing buffer preserves antibody activity for long-term storage at -20 °C with minimal freeze-thaw damage.

Researchers studying Diamond-Blackfan anemia, ribosomopathies, nucleolar stress signaling, MDM2-p53 pathway crosstalk, and ribosomal biogenesis will find this reagent useful for tracking endogenous RPL11 levels and subcellular localization across tissues. The polyclonal format provides tolerance for minor epitope variations among species and isoforms, an advantage when comparing ortholog expression in cell culture and primary tissue samples.
