Anti-RPA1 Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal reagent targets the 70 kDa subunit of Replication Protein A (RPA1), the largest component of the heterotrimeric single-stranded DNA-binding complex that protects genome integrity during DNA replication and repair. RPA1 provides the principal single-strand DNA contact surface, anchoring the RPA heterotrimer onto exposed DNA at stalled replication forks and at resected double-strand break ends.

Distributed by Antibodies.com, the antibody is validated for western blot detection of endogenous RPA1 in lysates prepared from human, mouse, and rat cell lines. It supports research into S-phase progression, nucleotide excision repair, homologous recombination, and the ATR/ATM-dependent DNA damage response. The product is supplied as an unconjugated IgG fraction at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide, at approximately pH 7.2, and is packaged as a single-use 100 µl vial.

For western blot workflows, samples are commonly lysed in RIPA buffer, resolved on SDS-PAGE gels, and transferred to PVDF or nitrocellulose membranes before probing with the antibody at empirically determined working dilutions. Store the vial refrigerated at 4 °C for short-term use; for extended storage, aliquot the antibody and freeze at -20 °C to minimize freeze-thaw cycles of the stock solution.
