Anti-Rock2 Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets Rho-associated coiled-coil kinase 2 (Rock2), a serine/threonine kinase operating downstream of RhoA GTPase. Rock2 drives actomyosin contractility, stress fiber assembly, focal adhesion turnover, and cytoskeletal remodeling, and is studied in connection with vascular tone, neurite retraction, cell migration, and cytokinesis.

Supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide, approximately pH 7.2, the antibody is unconjugated and validated for Western blot detection. The polyclonal host and broad species reactivity (human, mouse, and rat) make it well suited to comparative Rho/ROCK pathway studies across cell lysates and tissue homogenates from multiple model organisms.

Common research applications include probing phosphorylation of MYPT1 and other Rock2 substrates, examining smooth muscle contractile signaling, characterizing tumor cell invasion and metastasis models, and investigating fibrosis, neurodegeneration, and cardiovascular disease mechanisms where aberrant ROCK activity contributes to pathology.
