Anti-ROBO3 Antibody

This unconjugated polyclonal reagent targets the transmembrane axon guidance receptor Roundabout Guidance Receptor 3 (ROBO3), a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily that controls commissural axon navigation at the ventral midline of the neural tube. ROBO3 is best known for permitting precrossing commissural axons to enter the floor plate by suppressing premature Slit repulsion through ROBO1, and loss of the receptor in mouse produces a complete failure of hindbrain and spinal commissural axons to cross the midline. The antibody is raised in rabbit as an IgG polyclonal, affinity-purified preparation that recognises multiple epitopes on the ROBO3 protein, increasing the likelihood of detecting endogenous receptor from rodent neural tissue across developmental stages. Validated specifically for Western blot on mouse and rat lysates, the reagent is shipped as a 50 µl liquid aliquot in unconjugated form, leaving selection of the secondary antibody and detection chemistry open to the user's experimental design. Store at -20°C for long-term stability, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw loss by working from small aliquots.
