This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets ROBO1 (Roundabout Guidance Receptor 1), a single-pass transmembrane receptor best known for binding SLIT ligands and directing axon guidance, neuronal migration, and leukocyte chemotaxis during development. Raised in rabbit and purified as an unconjugated IgG preparation, the reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, and is validated for western blot detection of endogenous ROBO1 in human, mouse, and rat samples. Researchers in neuroscience, developmental biology, and tumor biology use anti-ROBO1 antibodies to probe SLIT-ROBO signaling in axon pathfinding studies, to map Robo1 expression in the developing central nervous system, and to investigate the pathway's emerging role as a tumor and angiogenesis modulator in breast, lung, and colorectal contexts. The 100 µl vial format is well suited to multiple blotting experiments; aliquoting on first use is recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the sodium azide-containing buffer, and the antibody should be stored at -20°C for long-term stability. Detailed application notes, recommended working dilutions, and supporting references are available through Antibodies.com.
